West Ham was able to reduce the gap. Alvarez sent a pass with perfect timing to Soucek who ran into the penalty area on the left. The Czech midfielder then deftly sent a low cross into the middle, where Fullkrug was waiting.
With confidence, Fullkrug beat Ortega with his first touch which aimed at the bottom corner of the goal.
After this match, both teams will compete together in the FA Cup. Man City will host Salford City (12/1/2025), while West Ham will play away against Aston Villa (11/1/2025). (*)
